I enjoy writing. I also enjoy analyzing problems. For example, in a recent contractual dispute case, my duty cycle analysis was used in court to arrive at an honest and realistic value for the damages incurred when neither the plaintiff nor defendent could begin to quantify the real value of the dispute. In another case where a man was killed, we were able to ascertain that the operator was improperly using the crane and perhaps improperly rigging the load leading to his untimely demise, thus relieving the crane company of liability for the operator’s death.

During Covid, I did a lot of on-site work. While this is not my primary focus, on-site work allows me to stay up-to-date on the technical aspects of the equipment and understand the practical aspects of our industry. Staying at a desk every day is not a productive way to address the overhead lifting industry.
